UPDATE TO VERSION 6.23
 
Click HERE to download the latest version of QuickScore. After downloading, run QS-Update V623.exe.
 
This update provides the following:
 
Installs the latest version of QS (QSV6-23.exe)
 
Leaves the prior version of QS.exe in place in case you want / need to return to the earlier verision
 
Leaves all of your race result data in place
 
Puts the current copy of the Instruction Manual in C:\Score
 
To use this update it must be installed on a computer that is already running QS version 6. I you do not know what version you are using, start QuickScore and go to Help / About QuickScore. If you want to put it on a computer without a prior version installed, you must go to the "Download Program" tab on the website home page and download the complete version of the program.
 
Installing this latest version will not have any affect on your earlier versions or data.
 
Update History for QS version 6
 
V6.3 was the original released 2006 Version of QS. Changes made since then:
 
V6.4 Fixed problem with HiPtAve or Cox-Sprague Series when DSQ is not allowed to be thrown out
 
V6.5 Added capability to recalculate all races in a series with one mouse click.
 
V6.6 When Time-On-Distance scoring was used, the distance was not shown on printout - fixed.
 
V6.7 Somehow (never determined) the record count for the registration database ocasionally did not show the correct number of boats. This caused problems when printing boat data. Problem fixed by changing the method used to determine the number of records in the database.
 
V6.9 fixes two problems:
 
1. The Rescore All function only rescored the first 9 races, now does all races.
 
2. If there was no sail number when a new boat was added to the Enter All boat data screen, the program crashed. Now gives warning message and puts 9999999 in as sail number.
 
V6.13 Fixed a throwout problem with boats marked as ncA.
 
V6.14 Fixed a DNS calculation problem in Series Score when the High Point Average scoring system is used
 
V6.15 Changed File Merge Function:
 
1. Fixed a problem that sometimes caused duplicate entries when the a merge file was merged multiple times
 
2. Change the File Merge function so that if bow numbers have been added to an already merged file when the file is merged again the bow numbers will be added to the database.
 
3. Changed the File Merge function so registration data exported by Regatta Manager can be imported to QS using the File Merge function.
 
V6.16 Added following features:
 
1. Makes Series Print Screen similar to Race Results print screen so one can select and create series formats from the Print Screen
 
2. Added a Bow number column to Key Boat Data which makes it easier to add and check bow number assignments
 
3. Provides Race Result Print Option to show DNC boats on the Race Result printout.
 
4. Provides a method to shorten a Pursuit Race.
 
V6.17
 
1. Changed the Series Result format so that when a race is thrown out it still shows cause of penalty
 
2. Selecting Hints On/Off in the Help menu will be remembered for the race series
 
3. There has been a rare problem of unknown cause that prevents the program from displaying or printing boat or results data. In this version the problem is detected and instructions provided on how to fix it.
 
V6.20

When Race Result Format was set to show DNC boats it always forced Landscape format - fixed
If a boat was marked as AVE but the boat had no actual finishes program crashed - fixed
When doing a .CSV merge, if the header title is a space caused a problem - fixed
There was a problem with the Sail Compare function in a .CSV merge - fixed

If you have both bow numbers and Sail Numbers in the database, the bow numbers are used by default in the Finish Time Screen. If you add an 8 as a suffix to the Registration Number it will force the finish time screen to use the Sail Number instead of Bow Number.

If you scored a long distance race that went over several days, you may get some boats that have corrected time of more than 100 hours and some that have corrected time of less than 100 hours. The program ranked the 100 hour finishers above the others - this has been fixed
 
 
V6.21
 
Version 6.20 has 3 problems fixed by 6.21
 
1. When a boat was scored RAF under some conditions it that race would not display in the series result but the total points was correct. This is fixed in this update.
 
2. When the Seconds behind Leader was used in the race results format the seconds show are obviously wrong. This is fixed
 
3. The Race Results would switch from Protrait to Landscape mode earlier than necessary. This is fixed on this update
 
V6.23
 
Fixed a problem when changing data in Add/Edit All Boat Data. If a change was made and saved and then the same boat data was immediately changed and saved again it would creat a second version of the boat in place of an existing boat.
 
The first time that Key boat data was selected after a boat had been added in the Add/Edit All Boat Data screen the sail number sort would not put the new boat in the correct sail number sequence. Fixed
 
The program would crash if an invalid finish time is entered and Accept/View was clicked Fixed
